I really am baffled at how she was rejected. She was a smarter, younger, female version of Sanders who was actually a democrat and got things done.
I used to think the sexism thing was overblown maybe because I wasn't a fan of Clinton but it's hard to see past it now.
edit: Warren, not Gabbard obviously :)
This alone was disqualifying for some - being perceived as an outsider worked for Obama and Trump and appears to be one of Sanders key appeals.

Alas, she's out. Very unfortunate.

Is she backing her comrade or nay?

As yet unknown. She didn't endorse anyone until late in the game last time, when she finally went for Clinton. Perhaps she'll be more prompt this time. Perhaps not.

But her endorsement won't necessarily persuade her supporters, regardless.

Hopefully it depends on how she does it. She’s certainly be VP with Bernie surely. Maybe if the Bern appealed to Warren supports like ‘I know some of my online supporters are douchebags but I’m not them.’ Maybe that would break the ice? Maybe throw in some self-depreciation about how he hates that he gets facial hair and buy then all flowers and chocolates.

... it’s a stretch maybe

There's zero chance of her being Bernie's VP imho.

Not that they don't get on well, but (if he's smart) he'd want someone more moderate and (probably) less white.

More yelling, swell, just what we need in politics.

Or alternatively appeal to people who are fed up with Trump’s negativity with a positive message of how their lives will change under a Sanders admin.

We could do with you y’know

If she put that on the table with the endorsement I think Bern would have to seriously consider it as she hold weight politically more than any other progressive.
Expanded my post above... if Bernie is smart his VP won't be from the progressive wing.

nope, nor Bidens.
I doubt she'll take any cabinet position.
She'll probably stay a leading progressive voice in the Senate till 2024.
I think she'll mentor the likes of Ayanna Presley and Maura Healey to continue her work.
Keep an eye on Healey. If Warren does take a cabinet position, one of these two will vie for her seat.

VP Predictions for the two possible nominees?

Mine aren't exactly shockers, but I'm going for:

Biden: Stacey Abrams
Sanders: Kamala Harris

Predictable, but hey ho
