This says it all for me. This is where the money and pressure is coming from (along with one or two other multi billion dollar industries) for Buttegieg, Klobuchar etc to drop out and endorse Biden.

Well in fairness when you have a politician who's intent as president is to dismantle your industry and company and put you people out off work can you blame them?

Sanders want's to kill the private insurance option putting 2m people out of work. Given Utd is the biggest and makes billions and hires most of those of course they are going to fund someones cause.

Uhg also were Obama's bugbear during his term when he tried to roll out healthcare. They are very powerful and wont whimper away and close shop just because Sanders wants them too.

Bizarre reaction on the defence side.

Medical side I can sort of see the logic. Pretty sure they plunged when Trump's latest run at full ACA repeal hit the courts last week

Sanders has openly criticised the unlimited budget for endless wars.
Yeah, but Biden's defence spending won't be anywhere close to where Trump has it running currently (as he's stated repeatedly)... seems weird for them to surge based on "hey they might drop a bit less than they were going to" - especially as the currently available hard info has Biden as more likely to defeat Trump (whether that's accurate we obviously don't know, but it's the only info to currently work from)

Biden, like most politicians on both sides will be easier to lobby and manipulate I assume. Throw enough money at these people and they all have a point where they are willing to bend.

Sanders seems to be one of the few who wont be bought. I think he would absolutely cull the military budget.

And that's why biden has taken many areas over him.

He most likely lost places where their are bases and places where the HQ's are for he healthcare companies also per example Minnesota. Two of the largest are there.

I like alot of what Sanders has to offer but he cannot just take jobs in certain industries and expect to keep those voters on his side.

For example if those healthcare companies had to close in minnesota it would devastate the local economy. Same goes for anywhere there is a massive base. They would no doubt start furlowing military personal with the intention of discharging them again upsetting local business and it will.have a knock on affect.

I dont disagree that it is high the military budget and that also healthcare needs better options but grandeouse talk of closure and job loss will make people sit up and think about their options.

Especially when it's hard enough for the left to.get votes from the military as it is

lol a panal member just called bidens comeback the greatest one in modern history LMFAO. damn even CNN is full on the biden DNC train now shame on them all.

60 thousand diefrom not having coverage a year. Screw them companies and the jobs they have. As for military industrial complex licking their lips. Says it all.

But a lot of these employees are probably on minimum wage after their insurance premiums/racked up debt anyway, or struggling to make ends meet.

The insurance companies may lose jobs but the government are going to need to employ staff in health departments if medicare for all comes in.

My job ties into military spending but I voted Corbyn who is also anti military and would probably have cut our defence budget

sickening... I may change from a unhappy supporter of biden in general to throwing hands up and saying idc who wins now lol.

Right i get that, so 2m people lose their jobs and that's fine. You know that has a knock on affect too right? Many would ditch the left and this we would lose seats. Others will funnily enough would then need his idea tonbe rushed through as they would then need help.

Here's the thing though you and that other guy can shout from the roof tops about co conspiracies all you.want but maybe just maybe the people spoke to his extreme ideas and declined.

You know they can always work with them. Warren and mayor pete had good ideas.

Also you may say that but its not easy to pass something.like this especially when you are at loggerheads with the party you need.

He would spend four years getting tied up from both sides off the aisle anyway. He went to extreme too soon.

Noble idea but its extreme and needs work to satisfy the voters
