She said she'd resign if this happened. She said she wouldn't call a snap election. You cannot trust a word she says.

She's just a nasty, opportunistic witch.

Does anyone watch Veep? May is parodying Selina Myers.

Sadly, for May, Veep is outstanding comedy and Selina Myers is an absolute cougar of the highest order.

Seriously - if the UK ask the EU to reverse it (again, I'm not saying the will), the EU will do it in a heartbeat. They don't want the 5th largest economy in the world to leave the single market:

Some MP or other might mention that it was only 'advisory' anyway. Political crisis ahead.

I don't think he's suggesting Labour have won, I think he's just working on the basis that the Tories haven't won.

Either way, Labour simply don't have the seats to form any kind of government.

Exactly what I meant mate! If it was within 10-15 seats then he could have that view. But to be so far down and think they have mandate is plain rubbish. Even when you add on all the other parties they are still in the same position as the conservatives.

Congratulations to Labour though for making it as close as they have. Fair play I was wrong about Corbyn.

Who are all these people that vote Tory, dont know a single person who has done so.

Social bubbles pal. Look at a Twitter feed, Facebook etc now and all you'll get for the most part is people with the same political agenda as yourself. Same with your social life and where you live. Makes you think there's only one winner.

Wider picture is that Tories are still popular. Not as much as the last election though.

I'll give him props and admit I was wrong about him.

But he left it late (imo). And still has to wait another 5 years.

In my opinion it's important for Labour to bide its time now. Once the Brexit effect hits, the electorate will be gunning for the Tories and Labour will be ready to sweep up. However, this is only possible if the party stands together, and yes, rally around Jeremy Corbyn or a chosen successor if he decides to retire as he's every right to do. I've been his biggest critic and even gave up my membership of the Labour Party when he was reelected but he's played a blinder this election. Giving serious consideration to renewing my membership now!

Fair point, that seems to extend to here too though where the majority are anti Tory. It's nice here in my little echo chamber.

Perhaps Corbyn will get more support from PLP now, perhaps bringing back in some moderates back into shad cabinet? Making them stronger if another election..

No, I understand that, was just commenting on the fact it's not really been tested in court so it won't matter what the people will say, imo, regardless of their stature, until the European Court of Justice rules it. Not having a dig here as well like, in case it sounds like that, just good debate :)

And I doubt they will revoke it after all the disrespect and the fact the UK (at the time of Article 50 triggering) was very headstrong in the fact it doesn't want or need the EU.

The executive will move the goalposts over Brexit if it suits them. As they did with introducing fixed parliaments and then disregard it when it suited the Tories to get this election.
