It definitely can - if the UK government suggested that they were willing to remain, the EU would bend over backwards to prevent brexit from happening (we forget that it will adversely impact them too).

I'm not saying it will happen, but it's certainly possible.
Am sure that was only a possibility before article 50 was triggered!! Once it was triggered there is no turning back...

The article you linked doesn't state it's untrue per se though, just that it's not been tested in court.

Seriously - if the UK ask the EU to reverse it (again, I'm not saying the will), the EU will do it in a heartbeat. They don't want the 5th largest economy in the world to leave the single market:

But European Council President Donald Tusk has said that he believes Article 50 can be reversed.

When asked if the UK could unilaterally withdraw its Article 50 notification during the next two years, he said, "Formally, legally, yes."

Lord Kerr - the former British ambassador to the EU, who helped draft Article 50 - agreed.

"You can change your mind while the process is going on," he said.

Crazy if he thinks Labour have won this despite being 50 seats down.

Besides better for Labour to let the Tories get in with a minority government with an eye to an Autumn election.

I don't think he's suggesting Labour have won, I think he's just working on the basis that the Tories haven't won.

Either way, Labour simply don't have the seats to form any kind of government.

No, I understand that, was just commenting on the fact it's not really been tested in court so it won't matter what the people will say, imo, regardless of their stature, until the European Court of Justice rules it. Not having a dig here as well like, in case it sounds like that, just good debate :)

And I doubt they will revoke it after all the disrespect and the fact the UK (at the time of Article 50 triggering) was very headstrong in the fact it doesn't want or need the EU.
