True mate but general premise they can join the army at 16.16 year olds cant do front line operations.
Unless they have changed the rules.
Anyrate, its a pretty redundant issue atm.

Yeah that's my point though they are old enough to contribute to society so why not vote and have a say in how society is run?So what? They can do pretty much any job at 16. Or at least become a cadet/apprentice in one.

Isn't that then point then? You're an active, working and contributing member of society at 16 and should be allowed a say on the way the country is run.
Well then what lolWell then.
Ah but that's a whole different point entirely isn't it.Unless you're a foreigner working and contributing to society.
Some would say you haven't matured still lol lol sorry couldn't resist.16 is very young. I was definitely not mature or responsible enough at 16 to be allowed to vote. Personally think 18 is fine.

So 16 year olds still at school cant vote?
I wouldnt have wanted me or my mates at 16 anywhere near a polling booth!
Of course they'd be allowed to vote if the age was brought down to 16, but the point was, at 16 you can do more or less everything you can do at 18 so why the need to wait two years to have a vote on your future? It's pointless in my opinion.
Dammit, I'm getting excited. I told myself I wouldn't get false hopes up, but this talk of high turnout is doing just that. It's like flipping transfer deadline day when you wait for 11pm and that striker we were definitely signing, only to discover you've got Southampton's 3rd choice right back.
