Just wish they actually focused on what this flaming election is actually about.

And it isnt nationalising railways, social care, whatever Plaid are droning on about.

It is only being called, (apparently), to give the UK Government a mandate to negotiate with the EU over our exit from it.

And unless I have missed something, I havnt heard that much detail on the aspirations each party have on that. I wouldnt expect a detailed breakdown, obviously, but something, anything, that would make me trust either to actually get a decent deal done.

Cos so far, May has said, earlier, "Its either me or Corbyn", sort of, and that isnt exactly awe inspiring rhetoric, and I havnt a clue what Corbyns position actually is.

May's position is pretend to be strong and stable, Corbyn's position is to pretend not to be a lunatic........

I respect you mate but are you seriously saying the labour manifesto costing document is fictional? A work of fraud? Or just a lie? At least they bothered to do one more than the Tories could be bothered to do.

If you actually read my post, I said all of them are. Utter tosh.

It would take a fall in GDP of 0.5%, or a rise in inflation of 0.5%, or an unexpected world event to throw all the calculations and assumptions right in the bin.

It is a nonsense for any party to stand up and say, "Our plans for spending are fully costed".

Tell me, out of interest, how much will you spend in Tescos in 4 years time? Cos thats what Labour, Tories, etc are asking you to believe they can predict. With a few 0000's added on.

On Brexit?

  1. Scrap Conservatives’ Brexit White Paper and replace with “fresh negotiating priorities” with strong emphasis on retaining Single Market and Customs Union.
  2. Labour government would ‘immediately guarantee’ existing rights for all EU nationals in Britain.
  3. Reject “no deal” as a viable option’.

Whilst I agree to a degree we haven't heard about the stance on brexit much but it was May who said that's what this election was about no one else did.

No manifestos are "costed".

Like, ever. Its ridiculous to believe any are.

Exactly, they are wish lists pure and simple trying to bribe the electorate one way or the other. Politicians, of all colours, just say what they think voters want to hear.......

I did read your post mate but as labour are the only ones to actually cost their manifesto it's why I focused on that one.

And no I don't but with respect the 46billion is costed. I agree the other stuff isn't because i think it can't be. But a lot of what they have proposed is costed and again more then the Tories have done.

Just got back from the Labour party rally in Hull city centre. Student grants - costed, social care - costed. All the things Corbyn says Labour are going to do he says have been costed in the manifesto.

This rally has seen a huge 10% rise in Labour's fortunes.

Labour 60%, LibDems still on 10%, Tories 0%, undecided 10% and there all the same so wont vote 20%.

One of the conservative hotbeds........another one won over......

But. They. Havnt.

They think they have. (And expect you and others to swallow it). But they just cant predict the tax take, the economic cycle, the global events, for the next 5 minutes, let alone the next 5 years.

no doubt it is, or at least was, about locking in the Tories' poll advantage before Brexit actually happens and the economic rot accelerates.

the notion that an even stronger domestic mandate for May would increase her leverage with Brussels was always dubious, prima facie; if anything, it's the opposite.

the fact that she hasn't focused on it only reinforces that Brexit was never the actual premise.
