The tories are running a bizarre, lethargic campaign so far which is hard to understand. Still think they will win but first time I've felt there's actually a contest taking place now so at least it might be interesting.

Totally agree. It's almost as if they're trying to throw the election. The three-pronged attack on OAPs is odd, to say the least, especially given that OAPs are more likely to vote than any other segment of the population.

What education cuts would they be ?. .

MASSIVE cuts coming through right now, Pete. Every state school in the country is fretting over how it's going to make up the necessary short fall - not to worry though, it's only the futures of our children. You just keep peddling that line though - plays right into Labour hands.

It's a funny old world isn't it? This 'death tax' stuff is one of many policies that May seems to be lifting verbatim from past Labour manifestos. In this instance it was the 2010 manifesto, so presumably the policy so many are up in arms about was a policy most of you voted for in 2010.

Personally, I have no big problem with a death tax, I just make a point of never voting for self-serving reptilian Tories. And it's fun to watch them squirm.

I mean, who actually wrote that Tory manifesto? Were they on crack?

Not sure either of the two main party manifestos are much to shout home about really, and if anything May seems to be parking her tanks on Labour lawns with her interventionist economic policies.

Received a letter from sons school.

Less teachers
Bigger classes
Less marking time because more pupils to teach
Less opportunities
Less one on one teaching time

Dreadful

Believe me, just about every state school headteacher in the country will be agonising over how exactly they're going to make ends meet right now.
