Seriously though you Tory ferrets why do you support the scouse socialist team of Everton? Massive hypocrites. You detest the needy and working class in the UK. You're paid up fanboys of the establishment who tried to destroy our city and smear our name.

We want nothing to do with you. Go and support someone like Norwich or whatever small town Tory hole you come from.

That's it, I'm off to the pub.......

We'll be fine, and May is the best politician we have to negotiate for the UK.....

I don't see what May has done wrong here? Why should we pay a large leaving sum to an organisation to which we have been a huge net contributor for 40 years? How can we possibly owe them anything?

And the EU's reasons for dismissing May's proposed sensible negotiating strategy makes them look even more spiteful, introverted, overly bureaucratic, and pathetic than they were before. The fact they decided to leak these notes (with a huge bias of course) reinforces it. Juncker really is a horrible selfish little man. It just makes me more glad that we decided to leave.

They're two different things as far as I can tell. We contributed more to the EU because we are one of the biggest nations in it. That's one issue.

The second issue then is that we agreed to support a number of projects for the duration of those projects (ie we had legal obligations), and we are being asked to honour those.

The two really have nothing to do with one another.

True, but I'd still prefer to get a (good) deal with the EU, rather than no deal at all. The stupid time limit just makes that possibility more unlikely.

The lack of honest is probably a biggest stumbling block. The EU have been quite clear from the off that we can't cherry pick the four freedoms, so the notion that we could be in the single market whilst ignoring free movement was dishonestly claimed. There was also a woeful lack of preparation for Brexit, either before the referendum or between the vote and signalling article 50. We remain woefully under-staffed for such negotiations, and whilst this was largely predicted beforehand (#projectfear), little has been done to rectify matters in the 8 months post-vote. What's more, that period has been spent largely blustering about and winding up the EU.

If the exchange revealed earlier is to be believed, it seems May was playing to the gallery in her own party to mop up all of the UKIPers who had defected, before then hoping to slip a cozy deal with the EU under the radar whereby little really changes. Really the work of a mastermind.

Of all the many crazy, deluded posts on this thread this takes the biscuit. Labour have got to get rid of this idiot if they are ever to win power again. Corbyn as PM? We would need to build another airport to cater for the hundreds of thousands of Brits fleeing the country.

They are exactly the sort of people I'd like shut of. I'd buy the racist beauts the tickets and wave them off.

Resulting in a 3 day week for everyone else.......

During a Conservative government. Don't worry though, Pete, I'm still recovering from nearly laughing myself to death at your "Bullying comes naturally to some European states......" comment on the other thread. This from a citizen of the country that brought us centuries of slave trading, colonialism, economic exploitation, "gunboat diplomacy," the Opium Wars and various bloodthirsty massacres down the ages (here's one, just for tasters: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jallianwala_Bagh_massacre ).

Your revisionism is so spectacular that it's actually quite entertaining at times, I'll give you that.
