The rise and fall of Ronald Koeman...
I must have fallen asleep for the rise bit;).

Football wise it has to be the 4 -0 home win against City. Although as a keen follower of our younger players I really enjoyed our dead rubber EL win in Cyprus. It's possibly the only game this season where we've shown any sort of endeavour and purpose, plus some very promising cameos from a number of our youngsters.

It isn't all doom and gloom despite what most fans think. We've a very talented young squad who, given the opportunity to grow together with a few quality experienced players coming in (and back from injury), bodes well for our future.

High hopes and how those hopes were dashed.I thought Ronald Koeman was taking us back to the big time, after a decent debut season as manager, and a summer of high spending, and raised expectations.Little did i know that the whole thing would fall apart!

We were the laughing stock of europe, after a dismal Europa League campaign, and Koeman ended his days as Everton manager looking like a drunken bum!We then needed to turn to Sam Allardyce to bail us out of trouble.Who in all honesty, would have seen all that coming in the summer!I sure didn't!

So yeah, as the title of this thread says really. What will you remember most about 2017 Everton? The return of Rooney? Our main sponsor drilling us on social media? Battering Man City 4-0?

Let me know and me and @Groucho will go over some on the podcast tonight.
I will be utilising Heineken for this.

Strictly for professional reasons, mind.....

Footballing Legend Ronald Koeman ruining Everton's future by ruining the club's relationship with Ross Barkley and buying some dross in the summer - *cough* Icelandic replacements for said Scouse attacking midfielder.

4-0 over Man City. Rooney coming back and banging them in. Koeman's swift decline into madness. Waning hope replaced by despondency and disappointment.

The sinking gut feeling as realisation dawned on me that we were absolutely dreadful, watching us trying to kick a ball in any direction to no avail against Ruzomberok the week before the season started.
