Fairly certain Bale has started games on both sides. And I think Baines/Pienaar and Baines/Mirallas makes more sense than Baines/Bale.

I'll say dominated because they resorted to the type of counter-attacking that we saw from the ****e until Suarez took out Mirallas. We had by far the better chances and Arteta was a hair away from causing a penalty when he brought down Pienaar.

Bale always starts on the left but often inter-changes with Lennon. Shouldn't bother, he is 10x better on the left.

Yid Lid, i've seen a few Spurs fans going mental that you didn't get a striker in this window. And that you won't get top 4 because of this.

I still think you will. What do you think?

We're clutching at straws mate, you've been through this yourself, you know the score.

Vey true, it was Eurosport that said it fella, not a Toffee so not a pop at anyone on here.

We could do with a 'top top' striker but Adebayor, Defoe, Dempsey & Kane are respectable.

Adebayor and Defoe impressed me at the game at our place. Worked really hard.

Neither are available for you right now though are they? Hope we can take advantage of that if true.

Lots of Yids have got the right hump because we have failed to bring in a £20-25mn striker on £100k+ a week - a cost of £50mn over a contract. £50mn is 1/8th cost of a new stadium. He is in a difficult position, if he splashes out on a striker & we consolidate a CL place, that facilitates getting a new stadium & then getting even better players. If he spends the dough & we dont get 4th, we continue to struggle to get world class players & it makes building the new stadium even more difficult.

Personally, i think he has got the balance about right, the strikers we have should, with the amount of chances we create, be good enough to do the job.

Defoe is playing albeit with ongoing treatment (that wierd blood thing they do, take it out, spin it around, separate the parts & inject one of them back in again!!). Ade is in Africa, dont know what his dad is doing & im afraid to ask.

Brilliant. We keep all our best players & added a 22yr old full German international for £1.5mn & we are a 'big loser'.

It's all subjective. Their argument was that Defoe has an abdominal injury and Adebayor is out of favour (as well as being at the ACON), so you were reduced to playing Obika in the fa cup. By the same logic we're even more short up front since Jelavic has lost his form and Anichebe has yet to establish himself.

According to Eurosport we were a winner in the transfer window by keeping hold of our best players and signing a highly-rated young one. They have Spurs as one of the biggest losers for failing to sign striker cover as well as Chelsea who, they say, missed out on Fellaini, Willian and Butland. They also report that Arsenal will be disappointed not to have landed Huntelaar or Villa.

Yes Eurosport transfer window winners 2012/12

Fair point. Altough we have now got the mighty Harry Kane back who was so good on loan at Norwich they sent hime back & bought Lucciano Becchio instead. :o

Heard from a good souce on our boards we turned down a £10mn bid from Reading for Siggurdsson late yest.

4th is definitely yours to lose. We'll drop points inevitably so unless you lot really mess up you should be safe for the CL imo.

i think you'll get 4th. really rate siggurdsson but think you could have let him go if i'm honest. he's not done the business (not the only midfielder at spurs not to) when given the chance and now you have dempsey and holtby ahead of him in that position and you'll only play that position if you go one up top. can i ask you though, couldn't you do with a backup winger? if bale get's injured for the season you're ****ed really. townsend and rose were the only backups you had for those positions and they're gone
