So, with Moyes' habit of dropping bombs on us completely out of the blue, throw a random name out there that you think could be a target based on what little hints of a budget there have been (£12 m), and of course should epitomise a 'Moyes signing' i.e some unearthed gem or someone who's in a bit of a decline that we can turn around.

You can tell how gutted SSN are that not a lot has happened today as they are giving the Beckham press conference such a build up. Says it all that the signing of a pensioner by a foreign club is their main story.

Says who? Is he that harder working than Brad Friedel? How do you know either way? Beckham might be the hardest working player of all time, but the public perception that he is is just another element of his brand.
