It really is a joke this.

Are we really ‘trying’ to sign a 15million Euro player, with 10million Euros paid over a period of three or four years?

You certainly couldn’t blame anyone if the transfer window comes and goes without us signing anybody at all, could you?

The Echo are already printing stories saying we don’t need to strengthen, and that Neville is good enough to lead us into Champions League. What a joke!

They're puppets. O'Keeffe, Prentice..all their predecessors...all puppets.

my spanish isnt the best but i think its saying we offered 10 million euros but sevilla want 15 million euros

Google translate special!!

Remaining hours to the end of the winter and there may still be news about the future of Negredo. Everton have opened negotiations to gain Vallecano striker. Should move quickly to Sevilla authorizes the transfer, as the club would have to sign Nervión substitute collateral and have very little time. The BBC has reported that Everton have decided on Negredo after you have fallen other options.

So, we have proposed a number which stands at around 10 million euros. The figure is insufficient, since the Sevilla striker has priced at no less than 15. Remember that Negredo is instrumental in the day and Sevilla striker reference holder. Tonight nervionense command the attack at the Calderon. In the event that the sale could finally make the sports management of Seville should move quickly to close to a substitute for collateral. In this sense it would be very aware of the name of Raul Rusescu, Romanian international striker Steaua Bucharest, as a possible option.

can't we offer a good wad up front now for negredo and then a good wod in the summer? whatever the circumstances, we'll have TV rights money/fellaini money/CL money. Half now, half in the summer?

Apologies if someone has already posted this, from the Guardian:

The Guardian's Merseyside correspondent Andy Hunter has emailed in with news about Everton.

"Everton would like to make two signings today, hence the reason for calling off Leroy Fer's proposed £8.6m move from FC Twente on Wednesday afternoon. The Seville striker Alvaro Negredo is one ambitious and pricey target, with a 15m euro price-tag as the Spaniards look to ease their financial problems. It may take some compromise for Everton to land the Spain international. As previously mentioned, Ruben Castro of Real Betis is another striking option. David Moyes also wants an attacking midfield player but, despite constant rumours about Marouane Fellaini going to Chelsea, Everton continue to insist there will be no major departures. Time will tell."
