I think the problem with Beckford was he wasn't committed. He still lived near Leeds when he played for us and turned up late to a game, because of a delay on the M62! I don't think you can have people like that at the club, so I think we were right to sell him.

We lost the game 0-1 to Reading and went out of the FA cup

Bollocks, we didnt lose that game becuase Beckford wasn't on the first half. Players should be meeting up in the morning of the game anyway. Plenty of players live about an hour away from their club.

would be made up with Nani on loan if we could get him with zaha going Utd could play Nani on the wing and push Felli back alongside Gibbo and Mirallas behind Jelavic as I think our play has become to predictable at times with the longballs to felli from the back.

Howard

Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines

Gibson Felliani

Nani Mirallas Pienaar

Jelavic

1. Zaha has been loaned back to Palce til the end of the season
2. Thankfully Moyes will never have a prima donna like Nani near the Everton team again following the Drenthe saga

Signed on a free, scored 10 goals in his first season in the top flight, was then sold for a fee.

Yeah..
I agree. But he got binned off after a season. I'm not saying he personally wasn't a sucess - as I said in the very same paragraph, he had a solid debut season, but the only success was getting £2.5 million (quite possibly may have been less) for a player we signed on a free and only had to pay 12 months' wages to. But, as I also said - again in the same paragraph - it was very stupid as we lost 10 goals and an improving player from the team for a minimal fee which we failed to reinvest in the team. I could see a similar thing happening. There really is starting to emerge credible evidence that Moyes ruins strikers.

We got £4m for him mate, can see why we took it, but agree we lost someone who just knew when to be where.

unless Ive mised something I can never remember Nani skipping training sessions and going on all night benders. He hasnt been his best granted but ffs who else are we going to get that is better? people think we actually have money beggars cant be choosers and nani's alot bloody better than naismith.

Nowhere near £4 million. £4 million is a good deal (again, we didn't reinvest any of it in the team, so in actuality it served only to weaken the squad) but there's no way Leicester, moneybags though they are by Championship standards, would have afforded £4 million.

No, hes not.

Gueye is better than Nani.

Please, leave it now, yeah?

haha hope your joking mate b)

anyone who remembers nani's owning of Kompany and hart in the charity shield in the dying moments will realise he's got talent people need to realise we are skint, kev is never fit, and naismith is awful as a winger.

OK, where is the bellend that said Moyes hinted post-match that two signings were very close? Been scouring GoT and the Everton site looking for quotes but I can't see any. I can't even find the initial post so I can demand more info, it just seems to have disappeared, and I'm starting to wonder whether it was nothing more than a transfer mirage (a la Riquelme). I'm so desperate for transfers that I'm clinging onto this one glimmer. I actually asked in the Bolton matchthread, only got one response: "wrong thread". ARGH

Please, can anyone confirm or deny?

MoutsGout just doesn't like flair players. He prefers traditional British forwards in the Dean Windass, Emile Heskey, Ade Akinbiyi, Jon Stead, Paul Dickov e.t.c mould
