You cant really argue with that. So there's definitely money in the pot but is it enough for us to buy the quality Moyesy is after to kick us on?!.

Hope so, cos we need a player or 2 IMO!.

You can argue with that, especially when it has already been used as an excuse to sign absolutely nobody on a number of different occasions.

Yeah exactly, end of the day we could easily bring in faces, but its pointless if they won't improve the squad or improve on a position we already have. And to do that we need decent funds.

Typically infuriating Moyes interview - "we might do this; then again we might not...we maybe need one or two more in; but we also may be ok for numbers...it'd be nice to add quality; although we have people coming back from injury".

Yada yada yada. The more he talks the less sense he makes.

What he is staying is he will not spend his money on crap cos it will be wasted, he always been like that and he never been one to panic either.

What level of expenditure is required to improve upon Neville and Osman?

How much would Sissoko have cost us? Isn't Diame available at 3.5million?

Moaning about not being able to sign 15 million pound players is no facking good when other clubs are strengthening their team considerably with players in the 3 million to 6 million pound range.

There was a suggestion a number pages back that Liam Trotter at Millwall may be a target.
I must say that I wasn't aware of the player, but having done a little research on him he would be a very
"Moyeslike" signing.
Central midfielder, strong powerful player, scores a few goals,24 years old and already club captain.

The advantage of Stephen Naismith is that in premiership standards he cost nothing.
David Moyes also appears to disagree with the opinon of most on here as he continues to play Naismith ahead of Oviedo,Gueye and Barkley. But then, what does he know ?

Yes mate I understand what you're saying, it is frustrating as hell when other teams are signing players and we think [Poor language removed] why weren't we in for him etc. But you say replace Nevillle and Osman, some people want another striker and GK, so what three/four players would you bring in that could add genuine quality?

How about just replacing one inferior player with a superior one?

It's laughable to start talking about only wanting to sign 'genuine quality' whilst your central midfield is being 'controlled' by the likes of Neville and Osman.

There will be plenty of transfers this January involving players who are far better than Neville and Osman, and they don't all move for obscene prices.

Osman is having a good season, do you really believe he could be replace for 3 million, what moyes is saying he wants quality, he could get another phil neville for around 3 million but what the point, and the club might not want to sell till next summer which is the case in most transfers unless you pay over the odds which we cannot do. The problem right now is our board not finding enough money for quality players.

If you have money to buy one decent/promising player you buy him. What you don't do is say ''I want 4 players but I haven't got enough money so I'm not buying any''.

Do we though? I wasn't trying to imply its four or nothing, was just asking him what players he would bring in to replace those positions on our budget? As Jags said who would you replace Osman with with 3 million?
