2013 January Transfer Window Thread

Been like this for 6 years now mate. We haven't been active since summer 2007 when we signed Yakubu, Gravesen, Pienaar and Baines. The summer previous we signed AJ, Lescott and Howard. They were excellent windows which saw genuine, attributable improvement. We looked a great team in 2008 and ran Liverpool close for 4th not to mention narrowly losing on pens to Fiorentina in the last 16 of the UEFA Cup and getting to the league cup semifinals. That summer we had many injuries and failed to do jot until the last day when we brought in Fellaini (...) and Saha. It was a real waste of the makings of a great team.

I mean this winter transfer window.

Debuchy - £5.5M, Yanga-Mbiwa - £6.7M, Gouffran - £1.4M, Haïdara - £3M, Sissoko - £2M.

They now have to pay wages (plus signing on fee) to five more players with long contracts. They only sell Ba. Newcastle spend a lot of money there.

Indeed they did and can with an owner who put his money were his mouth is.

I refuse to get jealous about Newcastle as an Evertonian. Will never judge the succes of our transfer window by comparing it to that joke of a club's one. The panic button has once again been hit at St.James's Park. They'll never learn.

Well said and I trust Moyes will sign someone good before 31st Jan.

Just been told that the reason we didn't get Forren was because Moyes did not rate him after all, not down to financial reasons.

haha i amongst a few others made this known in the forren thread, but a lot of people didn't listen and constantly yelled at kenwright. some people just don't listen mate
