According to a few crap websites we offered Fat Frank a 3 year contract which he knocked back

firmest interest in England has come from Everton, who are believed to have offered Lampard a three-year contract that was subsequently turned down.

The midfielder will leave Chelsea at the end of the season after being told he will not get a new contract from the European champions.

Goal.com understands that Lampard would prefer a move to the MLS in the United States rather than join another English club, with LA Galaxy his most likely destination.

1) Screw him, no one turns down Everton FC.

2) Happy he didn't sign nonetheless. Imagine him and Neville in midfield.

...latest gossip on the rumour sites are Lescott has confirmed that he is going nowhere in Jan. Everton linked with James McCarthy, Jake Livermore and an Argentinian youngster called Facundo Ferrya. All city cab drivers be on alert for a lad called Fac who looks like he's in a boy band asking for a ride to Finch Farm!!

Would love Dorrans, quality player who was never given a chance under Hodgeson if I remember correctly. Fell down the pecking order when Morrison came into his own and WBA signed Long and Odemwingi.

Livermore would also be a quality signing.

The downside is none of them are named James b)

The Times is claiming we have agreed a £6m fee with Real Madrid for right winger Pedro Leon, who is currently on loan at Getafe.

Apparently Leon is 'reluctant to leave Getafe though '.

Having read his wiki he doesn't exactly sound like our type of player though, as he's a bit of Drenthe-type character; bombed out of Real by Mourinho for fighting with teammates.

all three would be great signings - none will happen

Said a few times I'm not sure lescott will go but if he does I doubt it'll be on loan and even if he does they'll want his full wage paying .

I just don't see lescott happening although I'd suspect both Everton and the player would love it to happen .

The summer might be different but it's a deal if it was to happen now would need a lot of hard work. Why would they loan it's not like they need the wage bill reducing short term .

Had a £4m bid accepted for Forren according to some rags.

...hope I'm wrong but I don't see us having this type of money available. The RS are probably paying more to get rid of Cole (reportedly £50k per week for the remainder of his contract = £3m) than we have for our entire transfer kitty.
