So I'd be interested to know, which squad do you think is worse? Walter Smith 98/99 or today's sorry bunch?

This is much worse, Smith didn't spend gazillions.
Besides we had some good stuff under him, winning at Anfield, Sunderland 5 0 on boxing day, few 4 0 wins, this now is pathetic.
Smith took over at a time we worried about relegation, Silva has us worried about it again.

....there’s some things that are lacking now, but there was lots lacking then. First half was encouraging yesterday even if it ultimately went bad. Yesterday epitomised Silva.
