10 years in, holding a slim lead is still Moyes' Plan A.

Correct, and I'm proud to be one of them.

Another game which we should have won, granted - but noone was complaining when we won the first few games and were playing superb football. Did you honestly believe that every player would keep that form up? That we would avoid injuries?
Howard, Heitinga, Distin, Pienaar are off colour, which happens at EVERY club no matter the manager, together with injuries to key individuals like Miralles and Gibson have been the main reasons for our modest results of late.

Hardly a crisis.

Hardly reason to criticise the manager.

Still a good start.

Can't wait for the 7th place trophy wooooooooooo

It's still mind-boggling how we didn't make any changes till the 91st minute.

Richard Jolly nails it.

- But Moyes' inactivity on the touchline was enforced. "We were a bit short at right-back, short in forward areas," the Scot said. "We didn't have an awful lot to alter it." Indeed his only change, introducing Apostolos Vellios, came in added time. The theory that he has quality but not quantity, and only about 15 or 16 players he actually trusts, was rather reinforced.

Game, Set and Match. You don't qualify for Europe, let alone finish 4th relying on 15 or 16 players.

Isn't interesting that Brendon Rodgers is happy to give 17yr old Sterling and Suso time but Moyes doesn't trust Vellios, Gueye or Barkley to replace an exhaust Osman or Pienaar.

Adios Felli.

1. If plan A is to defend a 1-0 lead.. Why when we went 1-0 up did we not change anything? Why did we carry on attacking?
2. Didn't he get massively slated for bringing Distin on recently just before conceding when we were in control (much like to today) so why is he being slated for not doing it this time?
Got a feeling that there is no longer difference between bottling it, negative and not winning.
We were attacking for most of that game, they won through another free kick that shouldn't of been and our problem isn't that we are not offensive enough.. Its that we are shocking at the back.
That's we score lots and concede lots. How people can't see a difference between the last year or so and the rest of his time here is beyond me.

On the OP, I think Moyes kept it the same as we were reasonably on top at the time. I get the feeling that some will criticise if he doesn't substitute, and will still criticise if he does substitute.

Maybe I'm wrong, but at the end of the day, it's the players out on the pitch who drew.

Its utter horsesh1t, and beggars belief.
How long will Mirallas be allowed to play his natural game before Moyes beats any sense of attacking out of him and make sure that backtracking is his first and foremost duty?

Moyes has stabilized our club, but it's very obvious that his innate cautious nature has taken us as far as it can. We will never play expansive football with him in charge.

How many fecking shots do we need to have before it's expansive football?

If anything we haven't been cautious enough, this year.

I actually groaned when we went ahead so early because I knew that it meant we would spend a lot of the match defending.

It's maddening that he doesn't trust the youth at all, like. If we'd had an older bench we would have made changes at 70 minutes guarenteed. Having said Rodgers isn't who I would use as an example of good management.

i would not be shocked to hear that if the team takes a lead that moyes tells the team to close shop unless they have a clear cut opportunity. Its back to his quote about him not liking to [Poor language removed] teams by 4-5+ goals, i honestly think he thinks by attacking like mongols they are setting themselves up to give up points. honestly, its the whole negative mindset that is causing points.

the one thing that is absolutely baffling to me is how moyes' trademark went completely AWOL this season. WTF has happened to our defending??

To Dan ( and others) you're winning 1-0, under the cosh a bit but still winning with 1min + the obligatory 4 what you don't do, like the other week when he brought on Distin is mess it about.

Think about it; He ( Moyes ) and Us can do Eff All about the Bench- lack of quality, Or the Reff being a Tosser
The fact that we as a Club seem to get more than our fair share of the Sh1t that every one says 'happens'

We don't get what we ( think ) deserve, but we usually deserve what we get

This is all part and parcel of the rich tapestry that is Everton
