10 years in, holding a slim lead is still Moyes' Plan A.

If we have Gibson and Fellaini back, and Jelavic is due a goal. Arsenal couldnt score past villa. i think we are gonna sneek this one 1-0.
i wanted him (Moyes) from 85 mins to put the 3 subs on just to waste time. cos u could see it coming, just break up the play.

There goal was Liverpool's 2nd goal all over again. we aint learning from our mistakes!

I think that point made above by Greek Fisherman about Moyes only trusting 15 or so players is spot on. He's a very conservative manager, and the waiting and waiting on Distin's fitness yesterday rather than simply going with Duffy is a good example of that.

One thing he doesn't have a luxury with though, I suppose (and it's one he's used quite well in the past) is a series of Europa League matches to experiment in. That's how Rodgers has brought a few through this season by using that competition. Overall though Moyes is not prone to bringing young players through beyond a superficial introduction followed by long periods out of the team. The widely acknowledged ability of the club to bring players through from the academy to first team is fast becoming a myth. We do not have a young team and he's set to extend contracts to older players. We're going backwards as an organisation in that respect and it's all feeling very stale.

Just because people complained about the Distin sub at Fulham doesn't mean they'd complain if he made the correct sub yesterday, there are good subs and bad subs. Disrupting your centre defence to put another defender in there doesn't mean you;re automatically be better at defending.

But yesterday there were several players who simply were either knackered or playing bloody awful yesterday second half and as the game went on Norwich got closer and closer and it was obvious we just needed fresh legs. And there were plenty of them on bench but if he's not gonna use them then we might as well sell them and i'll go sit on the bench for nothing every week.

We needed to make a sub whether we were winning or losing, you could tell just by watching the game. Doesn't mean thats why we lost but we needed to make a sub but its obvious he didn't trust any of the players on the bench so whats the point of having them.

I hope he never stops giving youth a chance.

We turn up for the big games and after recent results im glad we have Arsenal, City and Spurs within a few weeks, just what we need to get going again.

Basically agree with this.

We are crap against even crapper teams.

We don't beat all the good teams obviously, but at least we try.

It seems that we've reverted to type after our brilliant start, some semblance of defensive solidity might have covered this up in the past but holding out for a close win is still quite clearly Moyes' priority.

Bringing on his first substitution in the 91st minute after the opposition have just equalized shows that Moyes has neither brain nor bottle.

I don't know what's more frustrating...dropping two points against those absolute yard dogs or the fact that I could see it coming from a f*cking country mile away.

The man can assemble a cracking little squad on minimal resources but has continually failed to get the best out of it, cast iron proof as to why our trophy cabinet has remained untouched in his decade in charge.
best post youve done ,agree 100 per cent ,purple rain lad

TBH -DM picked a poor team at the back -Jags at Fullback Coleman injury unknown??? have they had a spat???? as it cost us !

No not really. Heittinga was defending nothing in front of Bassong I believe, other than that we would of kept a clean sheet. RB wasn't the problem.

With Evertonians, there's always a crisis somewhere.

And if there isn't, they'll make one up.

Par for the course with quite a few of the supporters.
