You think? First time of asking? Haven't they signed a striker from Aberdeen or someone recently
Yeah Adam Rooney . It’s got to be worth a dabble. They are paying him more than Aberdeen offered. Throwing wages around like that at that level means they aren’t messing about

Well not strictly the 92 but doing different grounds . How many have you done? Lower league , Scottish , abroad ??

After going to Stockport yesterday it’s got me in the mood to get of my arse and go to grounds I haven’t done . I’ll do it when Everton aren’t playing .

First up is Southport on Tuesday then while the weather is decent I’ll be going to as many non league grounds around Merseyside as I can. Vauxhall , Runcorn , Prescot, burscough . THATS RIGHT WOOLS IM COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU

When the season starts I’ve already got plans on Accrington, Fleetwood , Carlisle, Oldham ( v our u23’s in the cup) Southend or gillingham the weekend of arsenal away.

Any tips on places to drink , eat or other grounds ?

Going to try and do hearts and Patrick thistle , st mirren and Dundee too .

You've got Marine nestled on college rd with the Bug (Edinburgh) a few hundred feet along the road. You could always do AFC Liverpool (the purps) on Bridle Rd, Bootle FCs ground, they get a fairly big crowd on match days and the beers cheap in the club house.
We done Accrington on a pre-season a few years back, got there early and straight into the first pub which i think was the Greyhound. It had a big Everton fans welcome sign outside and done a nice pint of Samuel Smiths Lager, the manager was a big Evertonian from Knowsley Rd in Bootle, great atmosphere.

City of Liverpool are "The Purps" and they ground share with Bootle FC.

AFC Liverpool are affiliated to the RS and I think they still ground share with Marine.

You're right, a couple of my mates who are reds go to watch them and keep trying to get a few of us up there with them, but i keep binning it off, calling them mingebag reds for going the cheap games and not Analfield. They keep pointing out thats its not AFC but City of Liverpool, hence the purple shirts so blues and reds can get behind them... Judean Peoples front, Peoples front of Judea, tomato, tomatoe.......

Talking to the Mrs yesterday and agreed i could fill in the blanks 4 grounds in Scotland then do the English been to most the premier i am not going to games just grounds

Played at Haig Avenue, Victoria Park, White Moss Park (old Skem ground), College Road,Altcar Road (Formby) - I wasn’t the greatest! Lytham St Anne’s was decent when English FA was based there for trials....didn’t get invited back! So great memories & hope you enjoy the pilgrimage- will meet some top people & genuine fans. Loved Burscough and traipsing after Vinny Samways playing overage in an Everton youth team one evening showed me why one of us was never good enough! He was good enough to say well played as I was subbed. It wasn’t meant to be like this when I thought I thought was alright growing up. We all have our highlights I suppose of a once promising career!

As for what you’ve said...Hearts for preseason was great when Rom scored a trick having been one behind, ground getting redeveloped now,Dundee Utd was basic, Peterborough is shocking as was the Priestfield all them years ago and one hell of a trek back. Port Vale for Big Joes watershed moment wasn’t a great view, I was at Edgeley park when Ebbrell scored late on in a cup replay, Carlisle is open & cold, The Shay at Halifax is one for the purists, Morecambe’s more welcoming, Memorial Ground at Bristol still gives me the shivers after them penalties all those years ago, too many to remember quickly but hope you enjoy trips to the Non League - I loved it.......used to see Everton one week & me and my grandad went all over the North West watching and enjoying non league games the next. Special times & thanks for prompting me to post!

Thanks for taking the time and effort to post and what a great post it is .

Halifax is on my list of priorities. I’ve done near enough 100 grounds over England Scotland wales , Europe and the states . Most with Everton .

But yeah I think it’ll be a good way for me to get out of a rut . I really enjoyed the intimate feeling of Edgely Park ( and the pie lol) so I’m looking forward to stress free football days out .

Thanks mate
