    The £17.25 is child benefit which isn't capped. The £292.81 is an additional payment for each child when a parent is claiming universal credit also known as child benefit which is confusing I agree. All the information is readily available.

    I agree, a good wage and a good standard of living for all and support for anybody who falls on hard times or can't work for various reasons. I only posted to explain the difference between child benefit and the two child cap of universal credit child benefit which are completely different things.
