Old trends in football you’d like to see making a comeback

Players drinking pints of milk after the cup final
Manual Half Time score updates
Dugouts
Away ends at other stadiums with no roof
One ball. If it gets kicked out of the ground, hurriedly searching round for another
Referees in black

Goal stanchions!
Not the crap, bland universal goal nets we all have now.
Wembley, Highbury, White Hart Lane, Old Trafford etc. instantly recognisable and unique because of their goal nets.
The Dell, Baseball Ground, Roker Park... all different shapes.
FA Cup Finals lost something when they took out those brilliant big green stanchions at Wembley for Euro'96.

Now they all look the same.

Absolutely this. In fact I’d have it too if my list.

Bring back the days when you could tell which ground it was just be the nets / stanchions.

Selhurst park used to be one of my personal favourites

Couldn't agree more, I used to love the 1st 2 match of the days as a kid to see if any teams had change there goals stanchions/nets from the previous season.

Imagine how much better the new Wembley would be if they brought those old Wembley goal nets with them

Was it just me or did the Goals at The Dell look really hard to score in? The net must have been about 15 inches from the goal line
