Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think that is where we have to use stats lightly sometimes. In the PL he's been poor overall on the right when you watch him and United fans hated him there. He was a fantastic player at Dortmund and one of the top young talents in the world but something has changed for him since he came to England. I wonder if it has something to do with people in the background as he had attitude problems at City too. Dortmund were able to manage it, perhaps because of the environment he was in compared to the environment he ends up finding himself in when he's in England.

It's a big no from me.

I think attitude is a curious one mate, it seems to me to be open to media subjetivity, we might say someone like Anthony Gordon has a bad attitude, but he’s obviously a good professional. Also take Jake Grealish there is a narrative behind him and his falling out with Pep being due to lifestyle issues, essentially going out and drinking - yet we took a £12 mill risk on him last week.

Evan Ferguson is written off and a drug fiend if you listen to most on here, yet got himself a big move to Roma.

I tend to take reports on attitude and the like with a pinch of salt, when you drill down into it - what have any of them ever really done! In Sanchos case he guilty of falling out with TenHaag and then rearmed to much money - can’t think of anything else.

Not particularly championing his cause - but I’d prob go there for £20 mill before I went for Tom Fellows.

He wasn't great his last year at Dortmund either when it was clear he was leaving, I watched him quite a bit.

If we can sing Mr Bojangles then I'm in honestly

Utd players themselves are saying the changing room is a different place now, as in the attitudes have left the building. How much of that was Sancho, who knows? But there were a lot of whinging leaks when he was there and by his own admission he prefers to not play on the right.

He barely played on the right during the Chelsea loan which could point to him stating that to Maresca before agreeing to the loan. Don't know, just speculating.

Would prefer Tom Fellows myself. Think Sancho would be one of those that would act like he's doing us a favour

Not sure title winning RS see us as a serious threat.
I'm sure they don't. But they have always been canny with optics. If they sell us an academy player who ends up strengthening us and doing brilliantly for us, their fans would not be happy. Likewise, we wouldn't agree to a buy-back with them. Imagine the chaos if he's great for us, and they just bought him back.

Those factors would make RS demands to us huge and drive the cost of the deal far beyond what it would cost other clubs.

I'm certain this is why we went totally quiet about Doak - I think they have a buyback clause with Bournemouth, and there's obviously no way we could do that.
