But playing devil's advocate, I can understand why (if finances need to stretch to 8 to 10 players this summer) this is an option they'd consider. He's clearly past his best, but it's essentially a swap of Walker for Young Vs what our options were in the position last season and to me that represents an upgrade (albeit not as much of one as I was hoping we'd make).
As someone above has just suggested. Kyle Walker-Peters is on a free, lower wages, covers left and right back and can still get up and down the pitch.
Signing Kyle Walker is a dreadful idea. His pace made him such a great player (and got him out of so much trouble) but with that gone he’s a liability.
