Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

All this because people are talking about scouts?

Just expected the new era to start on the front foot.

Given the well documented "big job" at hand time is of the essence.

Ideally having a few in before pre-season starts would be good for morale and allow the players to get up to speed with what Moyes wants from them.

I appreciate PSR issues may be a slight issue until July 1st but we all know no matter what this summer we will need to use the free player market as well as the loan market.

I said the other day crying at this stage would normally be "bedwetting" or crying for crying sakes but this year its different.

One last point our pre-seasons have been awful for a number of years and its meant we have had terrible starts to the season, would be nice to have the players in early and we aren't playing catch up come October onwards.

I shouldn't need to justify this given everyone knows all of the above.

Are they not all on holiday or on international duty etc. though ?

Maybe I'm being complacent but its a month until our first friendly.

They need to get busy finalising things on July 1st though.

I think there are so many things going on at the moment and so many hoops to go through, natuarally the food chain will work its way through us making signings

We have the following going on

Only really clubs who don't have to think about PSR are making signings (Your big 6 & Brighton basically), alot of these have been big big money signings which tends to get the ball rolling as money trickles down
We also have the PSR window, which is what? June 30th? My guess was the Alcaraz deal was being kept to a side until we definitely knew what was happening with Delap, I'd of imagined that if we bagged Delap...Alcaraz would of got a longer contract (spread his fee over more years), without us signing Delap i think as we have space this year on PSR we have decided to give Alcaraz that short contract to get £6m out the way to free up space for future years. Cant imagine us spending anything else until next years PSR window opens
No ones contracts have ran out yet, we announced the signing of Tarkowski on July 2nd when we got him on a free
Club World Cup, U21 tournament etc etc.
Players who aren't sure of moving to us might want to keep there pallet dry for the time being, see were other players are going, see if they have a chance of Europe etc. We may be 3rd or 4th choice move for some players
