Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He’s on big wedge as well mate, which is why I think Villa are looking to move him on.
Aye, and they already signed Maatsen from Chelsea last season, and he's their longer-term left back, also on a big wedge. Sell Digne to save £100k a week and they probably have an O'Brien-type in their squad who could fill in at left back.

Their wage-to-revenue ratio is between 85-90% (in 2022 ours was 90%, which is now massively reduced since we've lost Richarlison, Sigurdsson, James, Digne, Bernard, Calvert-Lewin, Iwobi, Holgate, Doucoure, possibly Keane, and several other big earners since then). We must be nearing the 70% amount now which is deemed more sustainable.

They added Ascensio and Rashford probably paying an extra £300k a week for their wages last season, however since they haven't made the Champions League they will probably not take up the purchase options on either.

Villa will definitely be selling fringe players, and probably one or two first teamers to try and revamp their squad and cut back on wages. Wouldn't be surprised if Bailey, Digne, Barkley were sold, and maybe even Malen and Martinez.

Who in their right mind is paying 50 mil for an almost 30 year old grealish who has been crap for the past 12 months
Unfortunately, there will be clubs in the Middle East queuing up for him. There seems to be an incredibly easy way out for these Sky clubs when it comes to offloading big earners for way over the odds. Wouldn't be surprised if Rashford, Sancho and Casemiro ended up over there as well from United, saving them over a million a week in wages.

Nothing has changed if we decide to give DCL & Keane a new contract.
If we gave Keane a one year, 30kpw contract as fourth choice, with an option for a second year if we choose I’d say a lot has changed since we gave him a five year contract at 80kpw or whatever ridiculous thing we did give him

Big final payday seekers like Doucoure and Young have already walked away from the table which tells me a lot has changed in the way we’re negotiating. We even took Alcaraz on two year with us having the option to extend for a third which shows we’re not even taking risks on someone who looks the business and cost buttons.

We’ll see how the squad looks when the season starts but I’m encouraged by what we’re doing and the way we’re doing it so far

What does actual proof look like though?😂

What it seems like is you know you've lost but you know other getting Maupay on the blower to say Bill done the deal, you're content to dig your heels in and stay the course.

Just hold your hands up...no one is arsed 🤣

Geezer BILL SIGNED MAUPAY!

Someone more credible then someones mate of twitter who sounds like if he was chocolate hed eat himself.

Wow, £50m for four goal involvements (all competitions last season) from a winger! Anybody willing to pay that clearly has money to burn. I think we should probably prioritise other targets over a loan move for Grealish.

He was never worth anywhere near 100 million. City had their pants down and there’ll only be Saudi clubs wiling to bail
them out.

Any of these kids a cause for excitement? I like what I have seen of Isaac Heath!

The Club is offering new contracts to Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gana Gueye, while we continue to liaise with representatives of Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the current deals of all four players expiring at the end of June.

As previously confirmed, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Ashley Young, Joao Virginia, Asmir Begovic, Mason Holgate and Neal Maupay will leave Everton when their current contracts expire at the end of this month, with loanees Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrøm, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja returning to their parent clubs.

In the Under-21s, Owen Barker, Jack Butler, Luke Butterfield, Billy Crellin, Matthew Apter, Zan-Luk Leban and Jack Tierney will leave Everton this month.

Fraser Barnsley, Callum Bates, Eli Campbell, Coby Ebere, Isaac Heath and Jack Patterson have been offered new deals, while scholars George Finney, Harvey Foster, Luca Davis, Aled Thomas and Joshua van Schoor have been offered first professional contracts.

The main reason they won’t get that fee is because buying him means paying 100% of his salary.

There’s not many clubs in that market.

Been loads of talk of Martinez going which for them would be massive.

Yep, ideally I would look at someone as #1 right-back who can cover LB. LB is one of our least worries even if it could use an update. CF, RM, CM, RB and couple of backups are more important.
