Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Slightly worried by Moyesy’s quote in the Paul Joyce article - “I am surprised at how well the players have done, so well, which has made the decisions a bit easier because if we don’t get anybody we are happy with what we’ve got.”
Remember when Dyche, with a threadbare, relegation-battling squad, kept saying we'll only bring in players that can improve us? 😂

Be interesting mate.

I think at some point you have to commit to risk.

For us it’s either invest in fringe players in top sides on their way south like say Grealish, or invest in young lads like Doak.

At some point you back your judgement and commit.

I doubt if we are interested we are going into this blind, wel know what the RS would want to a deal. My concern would be Branthwaite going the opposite way.
So we sell a future England captain who is a Left footed CB to our rivals worth who is worth 70/80 million as part of a deal to buy a 20 million rated Winger…haha!

If we do that deal may as well sell Ndiaye for some magic beans!!

Doak looks like a tough little pocket rocket.

Ideal for the right side though have to love Moyes comments

"We want robust players"

= signs someone injured for 4months.

Don't do any dealings with Liverpool ffs. If we want that Doak they'll massively overprice him as they do with all of their young players, and no doubt they'd negotiate a first option on Branthwaite or something. If Doak is available it'd probably be for about £30m, and I'm absolutely certain we could sign a more proven player from abroad for that amount.

Totally agree. The money they get for their rejects is insane. All of them end up crap too.

Possibly, but from everything I've seen Liverpool would be silly to sell him. He looks a huge prospect. £30m is on the high side, but not absolutely ridiculous given his ceiling and the price that other prospects have gone for - Brentford signed Carvalho from them for a similar fee I think
