Was thinking 20 was on the cheap side.

Brentford paid £27.5 for Carvalho, that would prob do it.

That's still an awful lot of money for a kid yet to prove himself in the Prem .

I'd imagine this would be a very difficult deal to get done.

Considering how well Simms & Cannon have done in the Championship for the price we sold , Doak should go for 10 to 15 mil.
But of course it's not our decision.

For us it’s either invest in fringe players in top sides on their way south like say Grealish, or invest in young lads like Doak.

At some point you back your judgement and commit.

I doubt if we are interested we are going into this blind, wel know what the RS would want to a deal. My concern would be Branthwaite going the opposite way.

I think 20mil is great value tbh. He's got a high ceiling, only 19

Couldnt see that happening would see it as them selling just to raise more money to spend. Also a sale with branthwaite could see fans understanding it but it tfg sold to the rs couldnt see that going down well with the fanbase

he’s suposed to be brilliant though

palmer had played like 4 games and went for 40m cos they knew he had class

doak has been talked up as scotlands answer to Bale

In a heart beat I would take this lad.If he had stayed fit at Boro for the whole season he would have been the Championship player of the year.I watched him about 10 to 15 times this year and was a catalyst for Boro.
I would take him before Delap I am so convinced he will do well

3 goals and 7 assists in 24 games last season for Doak. Injured then from January on but at 19 and if hit them figures for 2md half of the season as well that would be very impressive.
The injury would worry me but he's definitely the right profile.

He was doubled up on for much of those games as other teams feared him.

Re Doak. I haven’t seen much of him but I do recall watching highlights of a Scotland game and he ran Gvardiol ragged - not the easiest thing to do

Echo reporting Moyes confirmed we have spoken to Delap this week…so perhsps not beyond realms of possibility might have been shown round BM.

Us selling the idea of the project (which BM is a kep part of) should be part our our recruitment strategy recruiting
