Keane and Tarkowski are relics of the moshiri era of battling relegation every season. We can’t hope to qualify for Europe with them starting every week. Ideally we need branthwaite, O’Brien plus two new CBs.
  • windymiller
This is exactly why we have to sign another CB this summer that can run and pass. We cannot continue to rely on Branthwaite. His body is likely to continue to let him down.

Yeah, I've heard that before. When Moshiri took over we were just a few windows away from a new dawn. This season looks quite a lot like most of the seasons of the past decade or so, give or take a standard deviation. I'm fed up of waiting. I...

And this is another fair point. There’s no denying that this season has been a very hard watch, whether the manager has “stabilised” us or not. There’s nothing more irritating to me either then those coming out with the b0llocks “careful what you...

I thought the reasonable expectation was that we’d be better than last year and build towards next year. First one true, second one I don’t see it. The squad has a couple of different players but by and large the squad hasn’t improved...

Ha ha. Yeah, fair enough. That's why I'd be pleased for us to win it!

I think it’s a competition that depends more on who you win it with than most others. Maresca winning it with Chelsea is just a bit of a meme for example, but winning it with a tinpot outfit like West Ham is more of a genuine achievement imo.

We genuinely had an opportunity for European qualification. Six weeks ago we were three points off CL qualification, fast forward five games and we're ten points off without a win in that time despite games against modest opposition (Man City...

I don't know what you're on about. I want us to win everything. The FA cup, the league cup, the league, any euro trophy. I just don't give a toss about the community shield. Soz.

Ah yeah, true enough. I'd take second in the league, mind.

At least that requires you to win more than one game, I suppose. I agree it's not the most impressive trophy to win but at least it's a multi-round competition in the regular season. I do give Moyes credit for winning that, just not as much as...

Everytime we score we just stop playing. We batter teams till we score and then sit on the edge of our own box and ask the opposition to break us down and it was exactly the same with Moyes the 1st time round. When do we or have we, under Moyes...

Mate. If we're competing for the community shield it means we will have won an actual trophy with a string of victories against teams fully up to speed with the season. The community shield is a pre-season friendly, it's on a par with those...

Then you can't really criticize those that have run out of patience. If you can't define what success is, or when we should be achieving it then it's just a blank cheque to never do anything for anyone running the club (owners or managers). It...

    I won't, it's not a real trophy. It's a pre-season friendly.
