Maybe controversial here, but I'd argue Dyche for just staying calm and having to be the clubs front when everything was on fire, Doucoure for being a much vilified hero without certain goals we'd be in a worse position, Bonobo Kev as I'd argue...
Good post/piece.
The Europe qualification thing is an amazing piece of over promising and underdelivering. You're bang on that they collectively froze, crapped it, or just decided Europe isn't worth it.
This isn't the first time it's happened-...
I think a large part is that he can’t do it all on his own. Having O’Brien behind him and Barry/Beto as the target man doesn’t help.
That said, his own standards dropped during the second half of the season.
He's often 30-40yds from the opposition goal and having to do much himself. I'd imagine he'd be far more effective if we were working space and positions more regularly. But agree, he looked less of a threat post-afcon.
Ndiaye was frustrating. Has some magic in him but often ran into a brick wall. Wish he had a few yards of extra pace too.
Misses against Man City were somewhat disappointing too.
Good point that. Keane might rank quite highly as he was playing well until he lost his place. Then reverted to 90% Keane. What's 90% Keane you may well ask. Its the Jeane we've seen during 90% of his time with us.
