I don't give a flying one about modern european leagues. Obviously it would be a feather in the cap to win what's laughably called the champions league - but I'd only honestly feel we deserved it if we qualified as actual champions. Otherwise...

If our new owners are the ambitious, competent professionals they have been heralded as, qualifying for Europe will merely accelerate their squad building as it means we have to pad the squad out for the extra competition and gives us another...

How is this even a question, we were a game away from a catastrophic relegation not long ago, to be back in Europe for us would be incredible.
