That's the point of keeping him in that he appears to be able to play multiple midfield roles (in the same way as we have tried Alcaraz and Garner).

Id have him ahead of Garner at this rate. Id still sign a new CM to be a starter but he's showing enough this preseason to be part of the squad and to get regular minutes.

So far, from our midfielders, Gueye and Armstrong definitely the most impressive. For those saying that Blackburn were a couple of games in front of us, they played their entire reserve team in the second half.

I think watching this, it is very apparent that apart from Armstrong none of the other young lads are anywhere near the 1st team.

Gueye head and shoulders above most others so far. In an ideal PL squad Garner and McNeil would be decent to come on off the bench. Again, what a difference a couple of decent full backs would make to the team.

Patto was awful in the first 15 mins but improved as the half went on , still can't defend though. May aswell play him as a right winger .

To be fair (and knowing some of the problems from earlier seasons) it streamed perfectly well on Tuesday. Don't know about your TV, though.
