Preconditioning is preparing the car to drive, nothing to do with actual charging. Use preconditioning every day - I set mine literally on a daily basis for the next morning when I have an idea what time I need to go out - it really does protect the battery

Another useful tip is on cold mornings… don’t turn your blower on full blast to make the car toasty warm… use the heated seats and heated steering wheel as they don’t use as much battery power as the blower !!
