Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I would say scon and tung. Possibly a northern thing - flat vowels.
We were staying at a posh hotel in Cornwall yonks ago Anj and there was this young student waiting on our table who was dead posh, just like H. I asked her for some more butter but she didn't have a clue what I was saying. After about 3 attempts the penny dropped and she said "oh batter?" ?

She is from Posh so goes with the territory. Mr F is very partial to a Melton Mowbray pork pie. He gets one as a treat every now and again. Otherwise it's own brand items.
I bet she says barth rather than Bath.

We had a workmate who came from Bath. Cal nicknamed her PT (posh tart) and soon enough everyone knew her as that.?
