. @Terrarian Well done with the slow cooker. I gave mine to our daughter, didn’t seem worth keeping as only one of us eats meat. They do make a great rice pudding as well. Had a chunky pork chop last night as it happens, did it with onions rather than leek though. My other half doesn’t like cheese though so I guess I will have to try a personal portion of cheesy leeks as they sound quality.I would be ok with the baked spud. I might have a chunky pork chop with cheesy leeks tomorrow now though. Leeks in a cheese sauce basically.

I've got a few homepride sauces, I do make curries and Chinese, spag bol etc from a jar, I can do that no issues. I just can't do stuff off the top of my head or without a recipe. I can cook basics.Lobbing a seasoning packet or jar with some mince or chicken or whatever, is cooking mate. Its certainly cheaper, and more nutritious than a similar ready meal. I am doing my chicken and roasted veg with chorizo later. If you can fry an egg, you can deffo do that.
Homepride or someone, do a range of pasta bake sauces. Our fave was a tomato and chorizo one. Literally, lob some dried penne in a dish, pour the sauce over, and leave for an hour. In an oven, obvs, or its a bit crap.
