Safe journey @fandjango , enjoy your time with your granddaughter and family, I expect lol little ‘un will give you the runaround. Grandchild no 3 is 6 today and I have been requested to buy a foil balloon, something of which I heartily disapprove but am going to do anyway. The pleading eyes of a grandchild overcoming my better judgement- so much for principles! Have a good day all.?

Good morning guys, I'm not as bad today thanks, only just had my first painkillers and have been up since 5 so that is a good morning for me and the headache hasn't quite kicked in, it's just there waiting to burst free lol but my gel and tablets are at the ready.

Thankyou guys for your support. I get more support on here than I do off anyone in real life, so I do appreciate it.

I suppose I better chase the mental health place up again today, what is that 4 months since diagnosis and no further on. The joys of living in a tin pot town in the sticks. lol
 
Just catching up in the thread after a hectic 36 hours. Brother picked me up at the airport and went straight to my niece's in North Wales. She had a houseful of family and I had a shedfull of ale. Yesterday was my great niece's funeral. Because she had been ill for a while she was able to plan her own funeral, a bit like Messy I guess. Whilst very sad as you would imagine when somebody so young dies, it also evoked memories of Cal and my brother so I was very emotional. But the after party was a hoot and she even had a disco. And I had another shedfull of ale. Me, my brother and sister in law were the last to leave. Good to see my brother with a twinkle in his eye again. He was always the life and soul of the party but has been very subdued since my other brother died last year. He was his old self yesterday.

Just about to get the train over to Liverpool for the second part of my trip. My social calender is starting to come together and it look like I'll be having a lot more shedfulls of ale before the week is out?

It's still dark here this morning, but will be sunny and about 95F (35C). Even though it's supposed to be Autumn now, it really doesn't start here until October or November lol Today, I have to mow the lawn, so I will get that done early then have errands to run. Wishing you a safe and uneventful trip back! @fandjango Have fun with your granddaughter! @Gwladysover Those foil balloons are so cute! :)

@blue1948 I enjoy your updates from Finland. How is the weather there this time of year?

@larbert toffee Hoping every day the pain is a little less for you. I lost my dad almost 20 years ago now and it gets easier as the years go by. Like your Dad mine is in a better place now and we'll see them again some day.

That's great that your day has started off well! @Terrarian I finally got a 4-5 day headache to go away yesterday, so I know somewhat how you feel. Shedfulls, huh? @Barnfred 55 Is that an exact amount of ale or just means "A LOT" ?

Good evening everyone. Another non eventful day today. Really counting down now. I've only got Thursday and Friday of this week to work, then Monday, Tuesday of next week and that's it. Two weeks and one day off. Can't wait. Hair appointment made for 29th, getting nails done on 30th so no gym on either of those days. Can't be doing with breaking a nail on some piece of gym equipment! I've also been sorting out the COVID tests we need to get on the ship.
@Vegas Toffee Girl shedtuls of beer dies not just mean a lot, it means a big lot! Hope you got your lawn mowed before it got too hot.
Pleased the funeral went well @Barnfred 55 . I'm not surprised you were emotional and it evoked memories of Cal and your brother. I know her anniversary is coming up soon. It's going to be an emotional time for you. For the record, in spite of the Leslie Phillips insults ? I think you are a star. You've done so well this year. Hugs x @Terrarian I hope your headaches stayed under control and you also had a positive experience chasing up the mental health people. @Gwladysover, it's been chilly here today too. Very tempted to put the heating on.
