Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

It's me, I only put it in the cooker, I had the seasoning kit, normally I can't cook. Although I can follow recipes. I just don't cook fresh very often

Lobbing a seasoning packet or jar with some mince or chicken or whatever, is cooking mate. Its certainly cheaper, and more nutritious than a similar ready meal. I am doing my chicken and roasted veg with chorizo later. If you can fry an egg, you can deffo do that.

Homepride or someone, do a range of pasta bake sauces. Our fave was a tomato and chorizo one. Literally, lob some dried penne in a dish, pour the sauce over, and leave for an hour. In an oven, obvs, or its a bit crap.

Used to love a good slow cooker dinner. Sling a load of stuff in before leaving for work and coming home to a glorious smelling gaff and dinner ready to be dished up.

Looking forward to the verdict!
Is slinging a load of stuff in a technical culinary term ? If not it damned well ought to be along with other phrases such as nuke it !

Exactly what I'm thinking. Although I'm supposed to be going to a gig in the Netherlands on Sat. So there's risk there too, although at gigs it's possible to stand a safe distance from people usually or even stick a mask on. So I guess not as bad as going to a party where you know everyone there has had direct contact with someone who just caught it.
Joy Division is worth the risk though ?

Oh and here’s another courtesy of @roydo lobbing ! I may write a GOT vernacular cook book

Pretty much every single classic meal, is based on ancient peasant food. Pasta, fish, hot pot, pasties, casseroles, anything egg based, anything meat based. They cooked and ate what they had to hand.

Curries are another classic. Curry/spices were originally used to cover/negate the smell of past it meat, back in the day.

I’ve been called a peasant on many occasions …
