Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning my lovelies. Autumn is definitely coming. You can tell by the feel of the air when I take Mr F to work at 6.30am. Some of the trees look like they are starting to turn brown as well.
How are you doing @larbert toffee ? Thinking of you and your family. Enjoy York @Gwladysover Take full advantage of first class freebies!Do the Ghost bus tour if you get a chance. It's a hoot - and very interesting. Our finest moment was when, on the way to our annual union conference in Brighton we got 1st Class tickets from Durham to King's Cross for £25 each way. Champagne socialists didn't come close!
I've a feeling the football might be called off this weekend as well. They will need so many police in London, they will be drafting them in from all over. I'm all in favour- means Pickford might only miss the internationals.
I'm starting to get demob fever. I'm so looking forward to having a couple of weeks off from 27 September onwards. My motivation levels for work are almost nil. Fred, have you managed to get sorted for Liverpool. We are there this weekend and the Premier Inn at the airport was an OK price.

Have a good Monday all.
Don't know Anj. Left the brother in law in charge of booking it but I haven't heard from him since I left.

Raki OMG that's hardcore.

You're not in your 20s anymore remember Anj?
Tell me about it! I have no recollection of anything about the last night of that holiday other than a lad I was talking to falling off a barstool and breaking his arm. No, I didn't push him before you ask. I'm not on any of the photos either and definitely wasn't taking said pics. My lovely mates had no idea where I was either. We had about 3 hours sleep and I woke up with my arms round a half eaten cold kebab. Strangely none of us said much on the journey home...??

Arrived in Crete today, a place I've not been before. We're going on a trip to a place called Aghios Nikolaos. They bus you there and pick up 5 hours later but the time us your own. The plan is to do a bit of sea swimming and then have a nice lunch. Weather fantastic again.
My mates are on the same trip as you. Two of my other friends have joined for the second part of the cruise. So look for three gay men and an 83 year old lady. Can't be hard.??

Reading that reminded me that Wonderful Life came on my Ipod when I was sitting around the pool yesterday. I immediately thought of you kissing the chops off some poor guy in a seedy Liverpool bar for some reason.?

Do you have any straight friends?
Surprisingly yes!? Although I do seem to have a disproportionate amount of friends who identify within all areas of the LGBTQ spectrum. I put it down to 20 odd years as a union rep with a particular interest in equality and diversity? You just meet people along the way. The two who have joined your cruise are the same two who were on @jazzy 's Caribbean cruise.

Afternoon all. Having a relaxing day today after doing the Tough Mudder 10k yesterday.

Made up to have finished it, but feel a bit lost all of a sudden, after training for it for the last few months. Need to book something else in, to regain some focus. Not this week, though. This week is for lounging about and eating some delicious garbage.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Cruise pictures look awesome @Barnfred 55

My dad sadly passed away in his sleep yesterday morning aged 87.
He took me to my first Everton game when I was seven despite him supporting Leeds where he came from.
He was a good man who was always there for anyone in need.
It then took me 8 hours to travel down to Merseyside due to the M6 closure.
Tried to get something upbeat on the radio to cheer myself up but it was all solemn stuff due to the Queen's passing
It was fair to say it wasn't a good day all round.
Ah bloody hell, mate, I’m so sorry to hear it.

Sending my love to you and yours.
