It is reported in the news here that Helsinki are thinking of scrapping the Christmas lights this year due to the cost ,it made me think how much does street lighting in a big city cost now ?
Mr google says there are 2.8 million street lights in London and the average £38 per lamp .

We have been debating whether we will be putting the fairy lights outside our home this year. It’s only a few sets of fairy lights not all singing, all dancing like some, but we just feel it’s nice for the kids to see on their way to and from school and grandkids when they visit.

I do. I remember sitting in the dark with candles lit all around. Too young to be at work in those days. I don't ever remember not having to go to school though!

I remember going to watch my local team Plymouth Argyle on a Wednesday afternoon play Birmingham in the cup because they couldn't use floodlights!

You pay the bill so your choice ,I posted about the lights in Helsinki but it was only the Christmas lights not all street lights .That would be fun dark at 3.30 PM and ligh again at 9.30 AM .Yes of course some would be in danger and therefore it is a stupid idea for the street lights .

Morning everyone, rained again yesterday and overnight but has come out really nice again so we went for a nice 2 hour walk up the abbey and farm, Daisy couldn't have a paddle, I've mentioned before all the banks have caved in and this year it seems really overgrown, she wanted a play with some bulls but they were more interested in the grass lol

Really like the way the team is heading under Lampard, a manager who sees the flaws we've all seen for years and has addressed them as best we could. Patterson and Onana look like diamonds, if garner is at the same level then we've got a real midfield, Mykolenko is only 22 as well plus young Gordon, future is promising. If we have to see them to elite clubs at least they've played well enough to earn a move. Happy so far despite no win.

Just a bit of crap news at the end here but as expected my appointment that was scheduled for today to start my meds is cancelled. It took me ringing at 08.30 though to find out, I couldn't get through to anyone last week, even left voicemails.

First person I spoke to said there was no record of me on system, she got the Drs secretary to call when she arrived in and she was unaware my health check had been cancelled. So beginning of June I got diagnosed and I am still no further forward. Told you stuff like this happens to me all the time, you could bet money on it lol

There must be someone you can talk to higher up but saying that if you pee the doctor off it might not be wise .I hope you keep smiling and get through ,between Daisy and us there is always a friendly ear for you ,how is she on the food today ?
I agree we have the young backbone of a very good team and the old crocks at the back have got a good few years left in them yet . I too think Frank and Co have good a very good job on recruitment this window ,perfect no but some shifted and some crackers signed .

That's an absolute rubbish thing to happen to you. Have they given a reason why it was cancelled and have you been rescheduled.

Well the Dr needed the results of my health check/blood tests before starting me on my meds, that's why I phoned to check if it was still on, good job I did. Now I have to wait for another health check appointment. Rubbish really.

She's still on Nood until tomorrow B when my shopping arrives I'll change her over. I've been giving her half a antihistamine with her food as well. I should be able to tell by the end of the week if it is the food or not, Fingers crossed.

On a brighter note I seem to have come through the otherside of my dip and am feeling ok currently, bonus, if it wasn't for the friggin headaches, I fell asleep on the couch and have given myself a awful spasm which is causing bad headaches ffs lol (so much for a brighter note lol)

Just had to remember to buy some powdered milk while I am without a fridge, there was no coffee mate so getting some marvel, never had it before.
