Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I have to like your comment as it is based on fact but I think he is too slow , although the money side of it is no concern of mine he is taking a substantial wage which could be used elsewhere . I too like him as a lad , the way he dresses is fine with me .
Disagree Blue overall. Agree he isn't that fast but not all players are. Our problem is that ALL of our midfielders have been slow. He will also be one of the lowest paid players in the squad. Every club needs players like him in the squad. Players who are prepared to sit on the bench until called upon, and have the right attitude and not be disruptive in the dressing room. If he went he'd need replacing and probably at a much higher wage cost. Unless we have a young lad coming through the ranks of the right quality.

Yeah I agree. I'm not A TD fan , shown no great development or progression since he scored v City BUT he is paid a relative pittance and as a squad player can come off the bench and do a job.

Mind you I'd be worried if we were starting him every week.

Genuinely I think his level is a very good Championship team.

So Delis gone some insight

Tottenham made an even bigger mistake by agreeing to let him leave on a free transfer.

Spurs will be due some cash if Alli hits a certain number of appearances for Everton but based on how badly he’s played and this move to Besiktas being on the horizon, we doubt the London club will see a penny.

Alli’s wages won’t have been cheap though so Everton probably have wasted a lot of money in that area but this is the latest episode in what has been a desperately sad decline for Alli.
I feel sad for him. Something has gone badly wrong for him. Mental health issues? I dont know. I would have liked him to stay and hope that he rediscovered that spark that he had at Spurs with us. I hope wherever he goes he settles and does well.

@jazzy Been doing family history for years. I can do some look ups for you if you’d like or if you’d prefer to do it yourself I can point you to some websites. They don’t all require a subscription, some are free. Be warned once you start it’s addictive. I’ve even done my friends family and her in laws!
That would be great. Either option really ! What info do you need ?

Have a great time.
We did thanks, we got there early at 10had a walk around, went for breakfast, walked up to our first venue to get our bearings then made a beeline for the Oxford bar made famous in the Rebus novels.
First gig was Stewart Lee who was brilliant as usual, the setting was a massive masonic Hall with fantastic architecture, an amazing place for a gig.
After a few more hostelries we went to the Fast Fringe show which was 13 acts with 3 minutes each and a compere to glue it all together, it's about my 6 visit to this show which I would recommend as it gives you a great feel for the festival and samples the type of acts you can see.
Didn't drink as much as usual, £5 plus a pint is quite sobering especially as I have another visit with my good lady next week.
Festival not quite back to the pre covid buzzing best IMO but it will get there.

Very belated comments … done with the Ireland leg of the trip and in overcast Oxford now…

I loved Besic.. never understood how or why it went wrong. Felt with the right guidance he had it all.

New work laptops is like Christmas.. I get it! The old one is normally 12 months passed a reasonable redundancy and driving you nuts daily!

Well done Sassy!! You really are killing it! Where is this Sandra nonsense coming from? In the real world do you call yourself Sandra or Liliana?

Before we can say we are 100% aligned.. what’s your stance on Tom Davies?
I totally agree with the Besic bit, thought I was the only one who saw a decent player in there somewhere.

I agree Anj, too much of a financial gamble as we would have been about to trigger a £10m payment to Spurs.
If he can hit form in Turkey and come back a player again great but I fear he is going to slip into obscurity, quite sad really when you think what a player he was.

Hello. Everything fine in my corner of the world. Hope you are having an awesome time.
I meant to mention last night Anj, there was a Blue shark seen in the River Fal yesterday. Reports said it was only 6 feet so must have been a youngish one. Marine conservationists are concerned as this is very irregular and fear it may be disorientated.

Aaw. Poor thing. Hope it finds its way out. I've just done a spot og googling and found a video of it. Amazing. They actually are blue as well!
