We did thanks, we got there early at 10had a walk around, went for breakfast, walked up to our first venue to get our bearings then made a beeline for the Oxford bar made famous in the Rebus novels.
First gig was Stewart Lee who was brilliant as usual, the setting was a massive masonic Hall with fantastic architecture, an amazing place for a gig.
After a few more hostelries we went to the Fast Fringe show which was 13 acts with 3 minutes each and a compere to glue it all together, it's about my 6 visit to this show which I would recommend as it gives you a great feel for the festival and samples the type of acts you can see.
Didn't drink as much as usual, £5 plus a pint is quite sobering especially as I have another visit with my good lady next week.
Festival not quite back to the pre covid buzzing best IMO but it will get there.
