Out early this am to get my workout done.

Extremely hot.

Decorators should be finished today - yipee!

Until they go we are just hiding in the bedrooms trying to keep the dogs safe ( front and back doors wide open whilst they paint them etc )

Fingers crossed for some good news on striker recruitment but got a feeling it might be very late in the window for that to happen.

Iranian food is delicious. There are lots of go to dishes I guess. One of them would be kebab type dishes with just a skewer or 2 of meat or chicken with rice, Iranian bread and a few other sides. My favourite is Fesenjan which is some kind of meat cooked in a walnut and pomegranate sauce. But there are loads of other things.

I finally found a poemgranate and the right time so now it is cooking ,I am doing a pilau rice with it :-

Well we all have different tastes , I found it too sweet and I hoped it would be more spicey .Being a builder I can eat anything ,it did however stretch my resolve and I would not make it again .I copied the recipe to the letter and hoped it would be a bit more tasty .If you don't try it you will never know !

The next door tree felling and pruning got much more interesting this afternoon. No, nobody lost a limb from over enthusiastic chainsaw use. However the gaffer knocked on the door. Dad away at hospital having dialysis. Could they come into our garden to get at the willow tree. Of course I said. Next news there are three young, fit blokes with their tops off in the back garden, chopping down branches.. Even less work got done this afternoon! I'm blaming the noise from the chainsaw.
