Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all ,to make you all jealous it is raining here ,not heavy but the land needs it .Finally think some hearing is coming back although it is certain frequencies not all but early days yet and any improvement is great .So strange to be transported back to 50*s music ,it made me realise how it felt to hear the first stereo music .I hope all slept well and have a great day today .Good luck to Galway on Sunday ,I will try to find a stream and have a look so @Armaghtoffee if you can tell me which station it is on that would be great .

I go with my daughter. I'm really rubbish at it. As I have often said I have the co-ordination of a p*ss*d up octopus. But I reckon that making some effort is better than no effort and has to be beneficial in the long term.

Enjoy your meals out
You can't be rubbish at going to the gym! Anyway you get loads of practice. I think you go even more than me
Use to go to their social club in Prescot ,I think Thursday nights .
Went out and got drunk this afternoon , Prescot Cables v Lower Breck , pre-season friendly Saturday afternoon.
When I moved up to Liverpool in 1982 I lived in Huyton and when Everton weren't playing at home made the occasional journey to watch Prescot Cables with a pint in the Sun and the Clock on the way home.

Morning everyone ,

Woke to see some more rain overnight and more forecast tomorrow and Monday so that's good.

My only food weakness is a fry up on Saturday morning so looking forward to that and then a day of grass cutting. At least that was my excuse when a mate offered me a ticket to the Everton game!

Tuesday is looking like a ridiculously tough day as we are getting a 6 ton delivery of limestone gravel which me and Mrs J will spread on the driveway - no gym that day @anjelikaferrett ! Fortunately the weather gods are looking favourably on us - cloudy , overcast and only 16 degrees - perfect.

Anyway whatever you have planned have a lovely weekend my pedigree chums.

Anyone following the comedy show that is the Tory leadership race ? It's the gift that keeps giving.

Looks like Truss is the overwhelming favourite with the Tory members.

That suits me fine because even the dull as dishwater Starmer can't fail to beat the Poundland Thatcher.

Even my mum who unlike her son never speaks ill of anyone doesn't like her.

Just reread my mates message . Everton play Blackpool on Sunday !!

I will have to think up another excuse

Not familiar with Iranian food mate- what’s the go to dish?

Galway (who saw us off) v Kerry.

Kerry are the Man Utd of GAA and Galway haven’t won it in 21 years. You can see where the neutral’s hearts lies.
Who's your team? Hopefully Galway wins!

Iranian food is delicious. There are lots of go to dishes I guess. One of them would be kebab type dishes with just a skewer or 2 of meat or chicken with rice, Iranian bread and a few other sides. My favourite is Fesenjan which is some kind of meat cooked in a walnut and pomegranate sauce. But there are loads of other things.

Sky Sports Arena and RTE.

Enjoy.

Armagh mate.

I love Lebanese food and that does sound very similar.

Yeah I could imagine it's similar. I've never tried Lebanese food but there's a restaurant round my way so that could be an option this weekend. I've always wanted to try it.
Love Lebanese food and surprisingly they produce great wine in the Becca valley. Chateau Musar is my favourite, not cheap though. Aldi currently selling an excellent Lebanese red for £7

Yeah I can remember a friend telling me about Lebanese wine. I don't really know my wine very well so was a bit surprised when I heard. Are you an expert on wine then? I was told that Georgia (the country not the US state) makes some good wine too. I was surprised about that too.

I wouldn't say an expert but it's one of my hobbies and I've got a decent collection.

It helped that we used to have a house near Bordeaux and brought back a couple hundred bottles each trip.

I'm fairly well up on French wine , not so great on other countries.

Georgia is a new one on me!
