Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

So ear we are ,they decoked the left ear and I still cannot hear so antibiotics and different drops for a week ,it is like living in the 50's ! Everything is in mono. But we went picking blueberries befor e the appointment so the day was worth it ,we got 8 litres ! Funny how the Finns measure a lot of solid stuff by volume especially mushrooms . I am wearing socks and slippers just for Fred .IMG_20220720_153522.webp

Yeah I guess they figured it wasn't necessary. Probably with hindsight they might have considered postponing the game.
I've been reading that at one point they were seriously considering abandoning it. The players were struggling as well. There were drinks breaks every 12.5 overs. All this in the most northerly international cricket ground in the world! I've been there in May when we overheard one of the West Indies team saying how cold he was and he wanted to go home lol

John Norman, (TS cricket bloke) made reference to that. It was when the players had an umbrella for, I assume, a drinks break, and he commented that if they need one for a drink, how on earth can they play in the heat. Sommet like that.

Love the flowers, they look like little faces poking out of the pot, are they violas? Hope the antibiotics work soon.

Well all I can say is that cricket never really appealed to me but I certainly won’t be going to it now after those horror stories ?.

We went from 30c on Monday at 6pm to people complaining of the cold last night at the football. It actually was to be fair, made a mockery of my shorts and necessitated a half time nip home for a pair of jeans.

It makes you worry that we may have already passed the point of no return climate change wise.

The Finns buy mushrooms by the litre?

The Finns buy mushrooms by the litre?
Yes and spuds at the market ,they also buy a box full that is one litre in volume but of course it won't contain a litre ! There is a law here that is called "Everyman's right " were you can pick from nature and you may sell without taxes and I believe it stemmed from there .No scales but a box sort of thing .

Good morning all on this hot day here in Finland.I hope all had a good night ,we did as it is quite tiring picking berries when you haven't done it for a while. When my glutimus maximus gets back to normal we will be off again .Sadly no mushrooms yet as it has been far too dry but if my ear responds to the meds we won't be going back until September and that should be prime mushroom time . Have a great day all and today we will be tasting the Spruce needle liquor

I never knew that! There is something rustic about that and if done honestly then I’m all in.

Sorry can you repeat that ? I didn't hear you . It is still blocked but the new drops seem to have reach further than remowax did .Thanks
The Finns are a genuine race E.G. If someone owes you money it is quite normal to give your bank details so that they can pay you ! Sure there are code and passwords but it is from the trust that is inherent here -not openness as they tell you nothing .
