Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Yeah. Went out for a couple of hours to cook tea and when I came back in both the cricket and golf had gone south. Following Lancs on Saturday it hasn't been a good weekend for Sport. Also realise what happened with Lancs now. I thought they were beaten by 4 runs but now understand that the final wicket was given a no ball. FFS they couldn't even take advantage of that lucky break.

Good morning all. It's lovely here at the moment. A nice breeze and not too hot. I love Repair Shop too @Gwladysover. It has been a disappointing weekend as regards cricket and golf. I don't think Rory did much wrong yesterday, the guy who won just played an amazing round. (observation of someone who knows bog all about golf!) My £1 ew on Tommy Fleetwood won me £6.61 so I've invested that on Pyledriver in the King George on Saturday. Again, always follow horses ridden by another Scouse Evertonian, Martin Dwyer. Unfortunately he's injured at the moment but I still like the horse.

Looking forward to the cricket tomorrow. Hope they do better against South Africa than India. I'll try and take some pics. Durham is a lovely ground.

Anyway, really need to do some work. I have CCTV to watch of a carer being mean to an old man. Just what you want on a Monday morning!

Mainly to the girls ,has anyone read the seven sisters series of books ? I have just ordered the final two for her indoors . It has brightened up here and is a pleasant 15° that is plus by the way .
I haven't read all of them but really enjoyed the ones I have read. They got excellent reviews on the Radio 2 book club. (How old and boring does that sentence make me sound! lol)

Well it was supposed to be a warm a muggy night so I got rid of the duvet and just had a sheet and woke up freezing !

Gorgeous morning , warm but certainly not hot. Lovely time to be out but then again it is only 7.30am !

Unfortunately have to take mum for an X ray this am but apart from that will stay in the shade. "Only" forecast to be 32 degrees here so whilst I wouldn't work in the garden in that it is bearable.

For those of you further south and east ( @Gwladysover ) be vey careful today and tomorrow.
Hope your Mum is OK.
 
Good morning guys, bloody hot one here today, went up the fields with a beagle and a spray bottle of water and a bowl, she really doesn't like walking in the heat and even this early it's a bit much for her, one bloke told me I was a good man bringing water out for her.

I find it a bit crap that a lot of people think dogs don't get hot or something and don't have any water out in this heat.

Anyway hope you all had a good weekend, I bought Daisy a new harness, only the same pink one as her old one because I had a few misses with sizes trying to get a different kind, got a Julius K9 harness but she escapes so easily so ended up getting her the one that's served us well for 4 years.

Hope Everton get some signings soon, it's all a bit drab and they haven't tried to keep the upbeat mental attitude going from the end of the season, talks of a takeover have just slapped us back to square one.

Yes early morning with water is good.

We popped to the garden centre yesterday and came across a bloke on a cycle with a dog on a lead. Mrs J went absolutely mental.at him for his thoughtfulness and cruelty.
