I 100% ageee, I know some older toffee fans won’t like this but we’re not the club we used to be, certainly in the last couple years, compared to other clubs. The only pull we have is the premier league pull, but flirting with relegating means that pull to players isn’t as strong as it should be, we can’t keep hold of players because there’s loads of better off clubs, it will take a few years to get back to the status we want to be with players wanting to live to us over other premier league clubs and build a squad but right now it’s nearly impossible. Also the stadium will help boost that massively.

I'm nearly 50 (so leave the older out lol), lucky to see all the greatest sides. But I'm realisitic, City and Liverpool are so far a head from the rest. Its like the the Scottish Premier (not in terms of quality). Now its just about finishing as high as possible and improve. Have ambitions to win something, get into Europe. We have to be self suffient and thats going to take years. Ideally our accademy will start to produce some players that will get in the first team/be good enough to sell if not.

But we should not be over paying…. Unless I don’t follow other teams dealings why do we always have it difficult.

Why do we end up over paying for other teams cast offs and more often than not make a big loss if we can in fact get anything for the dross.

Not to say this will be the same with MHW, however, it seems like we never learn in the market.

Understand and this is all media talk.

But surely we shouldn’t be paying 30m + (add ons surely more than 5m).., this with also the suggested up to 40m for Deli.

Do other teams over pay? Or do others have good scouting teams to unearth the talent.
