But you don't even know who is going in and out yet mate. I wouldn't worry until the summer is over...
I think we have 0 players who suit it right now though. Mykolenko is a true LB. Iwobi isn't a RWB. None of the midfielders operate in a two. The CBs all loon uncomfortable.

I wouldn’t be signing him with central midfield in mind myself mate, but honestly I’ve never watched him play for Ukraine there, so I won’t offer a concrete opinion. I just see him as a full/wing back, I like him.

Funny though a few examples of the flip, Phil Neville is another.
Did some reading before he was a winger before he came to city

I don't believe he is wedded to any system think it depends on personnel. To play 433 you need better everywhere

Meh, Danny Drinkwater and Mark Albrighton were part of a side that clicked and won the premier league. If uninspiring names bring us balance and we start winning again then great...
Saw this line of logic trotted out quite a lot last season when we forced out James and lost Siggi and replaced them with Gray and Townsend.

You might be right but if you’re not, we’re filling out squad with average crap and will very possibly….get worse.

And Leeds before but I remember him playing full back for City, was injury cover to be fair can’t remember who, but their first choice got wiped out for a chunk of the season and he went back there.

Conversely I remember Gareth Barry playing full back for Villa.

And City for his last few seasons

To be fair the link to Zinchenko implied he had been offered to Everton, not much regarding us expressing an interest.
True it seemed like city belled the two most gullible clubs they could think of to gauge interest. And I'm not even THAT against it compared to some of our previous targets but its a fella who has barely played in his "best" position where we would be playing him for 4 years.

The rest of the list though, we have Ajer who was availible last season and barely stood out for Brentford given what he'd cost now and that Sergio Gomez who we watched extensively in January and then signed Mykolenko over, he was also availible last summer as well.

Feels like the horse has bolted for both of them when we were skint last summer and missed out, should really be trying to find new targets that wouldn't now cost a premium.

Thelwell said in an interview he was most proud of signing Dendonker at Wolves because he could cover multiple positions and all 3 of the above do that so they could be legit links.

Not counting corona he's not been available for 22 games in 3 seasons, Delph wracked that up in a 22 game period
