Just about to do a few of my daily stretches and toning exercises, then it's making tea. Quite labour intensive this one but well worth the end result. Chinese theme tonight. Strange taste chicken with mangetout in oyster sauce and special fried rice. Three stir fry dishes so lots of cleaning up to do afterwards too.Beautiful day here today and I am in a lovely chilled mood.

You do have some strange food combinations in Finland Blue. Some of the recipes you post remind me of Letitia from Vicar of Dibley lolJust had Horse with wild mushroom sauce and garlic spuds :-View attachment 159701

Not sure if I mentioned it in here but I did some braised steak and onions the other evening. It isn't something that Cal ever did but I remember having it at her mums yonks ago, either whilst we were still dating or shortly after we married. Well I made the recipe up myself, trying to recall what Cal had told me when I had it at her mums, and I have to say I was delighted with the results. Quite possibly the tastiest dish I have ever cooked. I'll put the recipe in Sassy's thread when I get the chance.
I've never (knowingly) ate horsemeat, although I would certainly try it.Just had Horse with wild mushroom sauce and garlic spuds
As a veggie I shouldn’t laugh but I admit it made me smile.I've never (knowingly) ate horsemeat, although I would certainly try it.
I really can't understand why it should be regarded as such a cultural taboo in UK, yet it's eaten regularly in many countries.
*Just checked availability of horsemeat here.
A company called 'Cowleys Fine Foods' sell horse jerky which they call 'my brittle pony' lol
Well done fantastic amount raised. Hope your back recovers soon.Afternoon everyone.
Just back from Ormskirk Market having done the charity stall for Animals in Need.
Gorgeous weather and took £250 which isn't too shabby.
Absolutely knackered though and my backs done in after standing all day.
At least the animals will be grateful.
Enjoy the sun!
Don't mind a bit of chestnut roasted over a camp fire.I've never (knowingly) ate horsemeat, although I would certainly try it.
