Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi everybody. Lovely sunny afternoon in County Durham. I've done overtime this morning, had a fish finger butty for luch ( with rocket to add a touch of greenery and class ? ? ) Life is good. It's amazing what an Everton win and a bit of sunshine can do for your mood. So glad you are enjoying your job @Sassy Colombian. I have no plans for the weekend but if the weather stays nice, might go for a walk. I also want to get out into the garden and do some work on it. Does anybody know how to get rid of molehills?
Sunny but very windy down here. 50 mph winds coming from the East so big chill factor. Putting my gardening plans on hold for the day. Posh sausage butties for lunch today. My Saturday treat. ;)

I remember being on a works night out in the middle of winter, and all the coats were just chucked over a table in the bar we were in. When it was time to go I couldn't find my coat, but was that drunk I didn't realise until the following morning that my card wallet must have been in one of the pockets. So I eventually got though to the bar we were in and probably spoke to the cleaner. She said she couldn't see any coats lying about, but she'd leave a message for the manager who was due in at lunch time. It was about 10am at this stage and I couldn't take the risk of my cards being used. There were bank cards, credit cards, store cards in the wallet and I spent the next hour calling around everywhere and cancelling them all. Next minute, one of my mates calls to apologise that he'd taken my coat home by mistake. I mean, they weren't even similar, he must have been totally bladdered. lol
Not the same but I went to a party in the city here and when I came to go home my shoes had gone ,I was quite sober but no shoes ,there was however a pair of ladies shoes the same size as mine .Yes it was a lady bank manager who had taken mine .They are all the same these bankers .

Isn't it the moles that are the problem ?

Probably but I don't want to kill them. Our cat caught one and killed it. No idea how she managed that. It was the first time i had ever seen a mole.
Walking across a field once when a mole popped up from the middle of a mole hill, first and only time I’ve ever seen one. I‘ve heard you can get rid of them by putting something which smells nasty down the hole, don’t know how effective that is though.

As @Gwladysover said. This seems the best way to remove moles unharmed.
"Soak some wooden sticks overnight in some Jeyes fluid. The next day, where ever there is a new mole hill drive a stick all the way into it. The fumes spread down the tunnels and the moles leave the area unharmed."
Wow Thanks. I'll try it.

That's probably where you got your fetish for ladies clothing from Blue

Knowing Anj when she drives the stick into the ground she'll probably skewer the poor mole. A stake through the heart. Now I understand why moles don't like sunlight. lol

@anjelikaferrett. Geordielands answer to Van Hesling.

Afternoon everyone.

Just back from Ormskirk Market having done the charity stall for Animals in Need.

Gorgeous weather and took £250 which isn't too shabby.

Absolutely knackered though and my backs done in after standing all day.

At least the animals will be grateful.

Enjoy the sun!
Well done jazzy, a very selfless act.
