As you know, I am a big fan of DCL and always have been (though I'm a bit worried about his injuries) but I completely see where you are coming from. As a club, essentially any player who we can get 50m+ for we have to really consider. We also have to accept, replacing "like for like" will be very difficult in the short term.
They are the drawbacks of our position. Both the specific FFP position, but also the longer term. If it was DCL out, Broja in, with some change to strengthen other areas, I can see why we would to take that deal.
We have a coach now who likes working with younger players, and improves them, so I can only hope we pivot to that. Whoever comes in from recruitment/DOF perspective also needs to have 10 lads, under 24 who could get to Dominic Calvert Lewin's level. That's their job.
